During our first year in service Mozaic built a community of support within which to offer HIV/STI testing, PrEP referrals, linkage to medical care and other essential support services, trans inclusive sexual health education, safer sex supplies, and peer mentoring.
Soon that community will have a home at 2228 Summit Street in Columbus!
The Mozaic space will be a place to build community with other transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary youth and young adults of color. At Mozaic you’ll meet people that respect who you are, share some common experiences, and want to hear your voice.
When it opens in Fall 2018, our community space will include a lounge, computer stations, performance stage, gender-validating clothing resource closet, and a library full of literature by people like you. We’ll have regular hours for you to come by and access resources and free HIV/STI testing. We’ll also hold special events and programs, like Threads Revisited, Black in the Day, and Vogue Knights.
Our space will be all this and more. But most importantly, the Mozaic space needs you! We don’t just want community members to use the space – we want you to be part of the space. When you come to Mozaic, we want it to feel like a safehaven. And you can play a direct role in making that happen.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook and on this blog, so you won’t miss the grand opening! We want you there!
